Prodev laboratory assistants have done a competition on designing product based on ergonomics and innovation on June 2011 which is held by Himpunan Mahasiswa Mahasiswa Teknik Industri (HMTI) Universitas Gadjah Mada. Kolam Susu Team, as they were called have won the 1st place in this competition. They were making Volta Milk as their product.
Volta Milk is a device that will ease parent in providing milk for their children while they are traveling. There are 3 functions which is provided by Volta Milk, it keeps the heat, save the milk, and making the milk. These 3 functions make Volta Milk practical and efficient while traveling thus parents doesn’t have to bring bigger bags to carry bottle, milk container, and thermos to fulfill the needs of making milk on road. Other than that, Volta Milk is only weighted 300 grams thus it is light-weighted.
Volta Milk consist of 3 main parts, there are milk pocket, the bottle, and the heater. Most of the parts are made from polypropylene which is save for foods and drinks. Therefore, parents don’t have to worry on the safety of Volta Milk for their children.
