Students learned more about KM implementation in business practice, how it can build and strengthen company to achive their goals.

United Tractors (UT) is the leading and the largest distributor of heavy equipments in the Indonesia, providing products from world-renowned brands such as Komatsu, UD Trucks, Scania, Bomag, Tadano, and Komatsu Forest. Established on October 13th, 1972, the Company reached an important milestone on September 19th, 1989, by listing its shares in Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchange as PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), with PT Astra International Tbk as the majority shareholder. This initial public offering marked the United Tractors’ commitment of becoming the world-class solution-driven company in heavy equipment, mining, and energy for the benefit of stakeholders.

This company visit hosted by Head of Corporate Knowledge Management, Dedi Prananda. He is Head of Corporate Innovation, Customer Solution Management, Knowledge Management and Senior Economist at United Tractors. As the Head of Corporate Knowledge Management, he is assigned to lead and drive medium to large knowledge management transformation and development within the group. He has extensive exposure to front line operations and strategic conceptual design for comprehensive KM system implementation. Dedi Succeeded to bring UT as the first Indonesian company which entering the Asian-Pacific MAKE/Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise Award Hall of Fame (5 consecutive years as winner in Asia-Pacific & Indonesia).

In this company visit, KM students learned more about KM implementation in business practice, how it can build and strengthen company to achive their goals. Specifically, students learned how UT works on their KM practices as a leading distributor of heavy equipments in the Indonesia.
