Abstract
Electronic ticket card system in commuter train was established in year 2013 to replace the manually paid train ticket. There are two kinds of electronic ticket card, which are Tiket Harian Berjaminan and Multi Trip card. This technological-based payment is still uncommon among Indonesian, thus creating problems during its implementation, such as payment confusion and slow reading process of the ticket machine. This research is trying to suggest recommendations of electronic ticket card product implementation that suited with Indonesian behavior on adopting technological product in order to prevent the occurrence of the same problems in the future similar product implementation.
Researcher analyzed the relationships of factors affecting the adoption process of Indonesian towards the use of technological product using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by Davis (1989) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method. The result shows that sufficient facilitating infrastructure condition is needed to increase the perceived ease of use for both cards, thus increase the perceived usefulness of the product. Specifically for Tiket Harian Berjaminan, trial process intensification and simplification of payment system would increase the benefit of using it. Lastly, for both cards, the more usefulness perceived by the use of technological product, the more likely the product will be used in the future.
